Lead the architecture of an enterprise data warehouse in AWS, designing scalable data infrastructure and technology roadmaps for large-scale analytics, business intelligence, and AI solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of an enterprise data warehouse in AWS.
- Design, develop, and optimize cloud-based data solutions for massive datasets.
- Select and implement AWS services and data formats for the core data stack.
- Establish the technology roadmap for enterprise data infrastructure.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to the Data Engineering team.
- Collaborate with developers, data scientists, and end users to define requirements and deliver data and AI solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
- Several years of experience as a Data Architect, supported by strong Data Engineering experience with Python and Spark.
- Deep expertise designing AWS cloud environments with Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR or EMR Serverless, and RDS.
- Experience designing complex data pipelines with Airflow or Step Functions.
- Experience with microservices architectures using Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes.
- Expertise in large-scale analytical data structures, partition optimization, and data lake or data warehouse design using Parquet and Iceberg.
- Ability to integrate data solutions with business intelligence platforms.
- Strong analytical, leadership, teamwork, initiative, independence, and self-learning skills.
- Successful completion of a computerized reliability test, security interview, and polygraph test.
Nice to have
- Experience with machine learning platforms
- Experience designing architectures for generative AI and prompt engineering solutions
- Experience with BI tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI
