An IT services organization is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise-scale data integration solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines with Azure Data Factory
- Build data integrations across SQL databases, SAP, APIs, files, third-party applications, cloud systems, and on-premises platforms
- Optimize pipeline performance, scalability, and operational efficiency
- Deliver enhancements and changes through the software development lifecycle
- Provide L2/L3 production support, root-cause analysis, and permanent issue resolution
- Implement monitoring, alerting, error handling, and recovery mechanisms
- Build and maintain Azure DevOps and Git-based CI/CD deployment pipelines
- Maintain data quality, security, governance, and compliance
- Gather requirements with business and technical stakeholders
- Create technical documentation, data flow diagrams, and operational procedures
- Share knowledge and support less experienced team members
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Azure data engineering, Azure Data Factory, or related data integration technologies
- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory pipelines, mapping data flows, datasets, triggers, linked services, and integration runtimes
- Strong SQL and T-SQL skills
- Experience with Azure SQL Database, ADLS Gen2, Blob Storage, or Synapse Analytics
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and data integration practices
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation
- Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing data solutions
- Knowledge of Azure security concepts including Key Vault, RBAC, and Managed Identity
- Fluent Hebrew and English communication skills
Nice to have
- Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, or PySpark experience
- Microsoft Fabric knowledge
- Azure Functions or Logic Apps experience
- Power BI integration experience
- SAP data integration experience
- Terraform or Bicep familiarity
- ServiceNow, Jira, or other ITSM platform experience
- Microsoft Azure certifications such as DP-203
