A financial organization is seeking a mid-level Data Engineer to build reliable data solutions across complex on-premises and cloud environments. The role covers requirements analysis, development, optimization, and ownership through production.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT processes and data interfaces.
- Write and optimize advanced SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Design and develop data warehouse models using star schemas and normalization.
- Work across on-premises and cloud environments with a focus on data quality and system stability.
- Participate in CI/CD processes and version control.
- Translate technical requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders.
- Own solutions from technical analysis through stable production code.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in data development and ETL/ELT within large organizations.
- Strong SQL skills, including stored procedures, functions, and performance optimization.
- Experience with data modeling, including star schemas and normalization.
- Experience with relational databases.
- Experience preparing technical specifications and performing technical analysis.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and version control.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of solutions end to end.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud environments or hybrid architectures.
- Experience with real-time or streaming data processes.
- Background in financial services or insurance.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases.
