Lead the Tel Aviv-based Data organization across infrastructure, applications, and integrations. Own technical direction, delivery, reliability, and engineering leadership for systems processing billions of events daily.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow Tech Leads and Staff Engineers across Data Infrastructure, Data Applications, and Data Adapters/Integration
- Set technical direction, hiring plans, and career paths for the Data organization
- Guide ClickHouse, Kafka, Airflow, and Kubernetes-based pipelines supporting real-time and batch workloads
- Own migrations, legacy-system decommissioning, and technical-debt reduction
- Make architecture and detailed design decisions across the data stack
- Review critical pull requests and lead debugging of high-severity production incidents
- Drive delivery, on-call health, testing rigor, and code-review discipline across three teams
- Partner with Product, Compliance, Customer Success, and clients on integrations and data quality
- Mentor and coach technical leaders and engineers while building career progression paths
Requirements
- At least 8 years of backend or data engineering experience
- At least 3 years managing multiple teams or leading through Tech Leads and Staff Engineers
- Hands-on experience reviewing code, debugging production incidents, and making detailed technical decisions
- Experience with high-throughput, low-latency streaming and analytical data systems at scale
- Experience with Kafka or similar streaming technologies, ClickHouse or Snowflake, Airflow, and Kubernetes
- Strong SQL and query optimization skills, including schema versioning, data governance, and deduplication
- End-to-end ownership of architecture, implementation, testing, monitoring, and operational health
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog and ownership of operational SLAs
- Clear professional communication with engineering, non-engineering, and external stakeholders
- Reliable, consistent availability and transparent planning of time off or travel
Nice to have
- Fintech, trading, or crypto compliance and surveillance experience
- Experience integrating third-party or customer data sources
- Experience leading vendor-facing technical relationships
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools and engineering workflows
