Lead multiple data engineering, backend, infrastructure, and QA teams responsible for an enterprise-scale data ecosystem. Define strategy, deliver scalable batch and real-time pipelines, and improve platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency in a hybrid role based in Herzliya, Israel.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop data engineering and QA teams
- Define and execute data engineering strategy
- Lead delivery of development and QA work
- Design, develop, and operate high-scale batch and real-time data pipelines
- Deliver backend data solutions using high-scale databases
- Optimize platform performance, operational efficiency, cloud utilization, and infrastructure costs
- Establish monitoring, observability, alerting, and incident management practices
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and applications across the organization
- Drive data platform, data warehouse, data lake, governance, and architecture evolution
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience leading data engineering teams
- At least 5 years of ETL development experience in large-scale data warehouse environments
- Experience with SSIS, dbt, Airflow, Flink or Spark, and Elasticsearch
- Programming experience with Python, Java, or a similar language
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services
- Experience with CI/CD methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering, or a related field
- High English proficiency
- Ability to provide an English CV

- Experience leading data engineering managers and engineers in a large-scale production environment
