Housemed is hiring a full-time Physician Assistant to provide personalized, concierge-style medical care in patients’ residences across the Miami–Fort Lauderdale area. The role works closely with a supervising physician and requires independent clinical judgment, empathy, and strong patient service.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and perform physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Support the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions.
- Provide patient education and counseling.
- Coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Document patient encounters accurately and promptly in electronic health records.
- Respond to clinical inquiries and support ongoing patient communication.
- Maintain continuity of care and high-quality concierge patient service.
Requirements
- Active Florida Physician Assistant license.
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- BLS/ACLS certification and familiarity with standard clinical procedures and safety protocols.
- Demonstrated ability in patient assessment, medical history-taking, physical examination, and clinical decision-making.
- Experience managing common acute and chronic conditions.
- Strong communication, counseling, patient education, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
- Ability to work independently in residential care environments while collaborating with a supervising physician.
- Proficiency with medical documentation and electronic health records, including attention to regulatory compliance.
- Flexibility with scheduling and responsiveness to patient needs.
Nice to have
- Concierge medicine, primary care, or internal medicine experience.
- Experience in outpatient or home-based care.
