A higher education organization is seeking a creative Social Media and Content Manager to lead its digital presence, produce platform-specific content, and develop stories from academic and cultural activity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization’s Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube channels.
  • Develop content strategy, work plans, and ongoing editorial calendars.
  • Create and produce video, still photography, and platform-specific content from concept through publication.
  • Manage production days and collaborate with photographers, editors, designers, creators, and content suppliers.
  • Develop social media and content packages for events, exhibitions, showcases, conferences, and major initiatives.
  • Proactively identify stories, projects, research, and people within the organization and develop them into digital and communications content.
  • Work with academic departments and organizational units while supporting communications and content activities.
  • Identify trends and real-time content opportunities, monitor performance, and generate improvement insights.
  • Manage suppliers, ongoing budgets, and purchase orders.

Requirements

  • Significant experience managing social media and content for a brand, organization, cultural institution, or content-focused organization.
  • Deep familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and social media formats and culture.
  • Strong creative ability and the skill to turn ideas or stories into original, precise content.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and copywriting skills.
  • Hands-on experience producing video and still photography, including work with editing and design tools.
  • Strong visual judgment and understanding of photography, video, design, and graphic language.
  • High-level English.
  • Independence, initiative, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Experience in design, art, fashion, culture, engineering, or technology environments.
  • Experience using AI tools for content creation and development.
