Senior Social Media Manager

Manage and grow organic social media and content across a defense and homeland security technology group, its companies, brands, and executives. The role combines strategy, copywriting, content creation, production, and performance analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day organic social media across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and other relevant platforms.
  • Coordinate social media activity and content calendars across group companies, brands, and executives.
  • Write posts, captions, campaign concepts, executive content, and other social-first copy.
  • Develop thought leadership and identify relevant topics, trends, and conversations.
  • Monitor industry, competitor, and market activity and turn findings into content ideas and strategic insights.
  • Develop creative concepts for company news, technologies, partnerships, events, and brand activity.
  • Shoot, edit, and publish short-form content; plan and manage filming, interviews, events, and professional productions.
  • Brief and coordinate photographers, videographers, designers, and other external creative suppliers.
  • Create content around conferences, exhibitions, company events, and executive appearances.
  • Track performance, audience growth, and engagement, and improve content using data.
  • Coordinate with PPC, PR, design, and marketing teams to support consistent brand communications.
  • Keep up with platform changes, new formats, audience behavior, and content trends.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of hands-on social media account management experience.
  • Portfolio showing social profiles managed and examples of contributed content, campaigns, or productions.
  • Excellent English writing, copywriting, storytelling, and creative skills.
  • Strong understanding of LinkedIn and X, with familiarity across other major social platforms.
  • Ability to turn complex subjects into clear, engaging content and maintain distinct voices across brands and executives.
  • Awareness of trends, news cycles, and online conversations.
  • Experience producing social-first video and visual content and managing productions, events, or external creative suppliers.
  • Ability to take projects from concept to execution, with strong organization and attention to detail.

Nice to have

  • Experience with executive content or corporate thought leadership.
  • Experience in technology, defense, homeland security, B2B, or capital markets.
