Principal Internal Developer Platform Product Lead

Own the product direction, requirements, and roadmap for internal developer platforms and tools. Partner with engineering leaders and architects to deliver capabilities that improve developer productivity.
Responsibilities
- Define and own requirements for internal developer platform solutions
- Translate strategy, organizational needs, developer feedback, and architectural guidance into product direction
- Own the vision and product outcomes for internal platforms and developer-experience capabilities
- Prioritize the backlog and maintain the product roadmap
- Align engineering managers, directors, and architects around shared priorities
- Establish feedback channels and monitor adoption signals
- Demonstrate the platform’s impact on developer productivity
Requirements
- Deep understanding of software development and development processes from hands-on experience
- Experience building or shaping internal platforms and developer tools
- Ability to set an agenda, work autonomously, and coordinate across multiple functions
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority
- Agile mindset and comfort working through ambiguity and iteration
- Excellent communication, presentation, and prioritization skills
- Fluent English
- AI-first approach to work and problem-solving
Nice to have
- Experience as a Product Lead, Product Manager, or Engineering Manager for internal platforms or developer tools
- Familiarity with agentic AI, AI-assisted development, and developer productivity practices
- Experience with CI/CD, cloud-native infrastructure, and SaaS development at scale
- Experience defining and tracking productivity KPIs
