A leading energy and electricity organization is hiring a hands-on Senior System Administrator to lead on-premises and cloud infrastructure, improve IT reliability, and develop internal cloud capabilities. The role reports to the Infrastructure Manager and combines technical leadership with hands-on
Responsibilities
- Lead the organization’s on-premises and cloud infrastructure
- Maintain the stability, availability, and reliability of core systems
- Lead infrastructure projects from planning through delivery
- Develop internal cloud capabilities across AWS and Azure
- Coordinate with vendors and external DevOps teams
- Identify infrastructure and architecture gaps and lead improvement initiatives
- Implement automation and improve existing processes
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in system or infrastructure administration
- Experience with Active Directory or Entra ID, VMware, storage, and backup systems
- Experience with AWS services including VPC, EC2, IAM, and Backup
- 2–3 years of experience with Azure, Entra ID, or Microsoft 365
- Experience leading end-to-end infrastructure projects
- Experience working with external vendors
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong ownership, initiative, and continuous-improvement mindset
Nice to have
- Automation experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash
