A large scientific organization in the Rehovot area is seeking a lead to manage a Tier 2.5 support team and provide advanced support for central HPC and AI environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage a Tier 2.5 support team and monitor service metrics
- Operate and support central HPC and AI infrastructure
- Provide advanced technical support to researchers and internal teams
- Resolve complex system incidents in HPC and AI environments
- Support compilation, optimization, and execution of scientific software
- Work with scientific development environments and Python libraries including TensorFlow, PyTorch, Dask, mpi4py, NumPy, and SciPy
- Operate and optimize workload scheduling engines such as Slurm, LSF, and PBS
- Lead complex technical processes and provide solutions in production environments
Requirements
- More than 10 years of experience managing Linux environments
- At least 5 years of team management experience in HPC or AI environments
- Experience working with high-performance computing and/or AI environments
- At least 5 years of experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins and infrastructure as code
- Experience with compilers, MPI libraries, and scientific computing environments
- Experience troubleshooting complex HPC and AI environments, including CPU and GPU performance testing
- Experience debugging scientific applications deployed across multiple servers and GPU accelerators
- Experience with workload schedulers such as Slurm, LSF, or PBS
- High-level written and spoken Hebrew and English
- Strong systemic troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
