Support the analysis and optimization of computing costs by improving cost visibility, identifying inefficiencies, reporting performance, and collaborating on budgets and forecasts. This is a volunteer opportunity with no current compensation.
Responsibilities
- Develop cost metrics and accountability models, including cost per request or per user.
- Analyze usage patterns to identify cost drivers, waste, and inefficiencies.
- Prepare recurring cost-performance reports and recommend improvements.
- Implement rightsizing and scheduling optimization cycles.
- Create alerts for unusual spending patterns.
- Support budgeting and forecasting through cost estimates and collaboration with finance teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or computer science.
- Experience with cost analysis, budgeting, and cloud resource management.
