A global semiconductor company is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to lead payroll tax compliance and operational activities in Haifa. The role focuses on reconciliations, year-end close, tax authority communications, equity compensation taxation, expatriate payroll, garnishments, and acquisition or

Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll tax reconciliations across vendor filings, general ledger entries, and payroll data
  • Lead year-end payroll tax close activities and validate wages, bonuses, equity income, benefits, and imputed income
  • Manage federal, state, and local payroll tax filings, notices, registrations, reconciliations, and issue resolution
  • Communicate with tax authorities and coordinate escalations with vendors, legal counsel, and tax stakeholders
  • Coordinate equity compensation tax payments, withholding, reconciliations, and regulatory filings
  • Support expatriate payroll processing, assignment-related compensation, shadow payroll, and cross-border tax reporting
  • Manage garnishment processing, vendor oversight, agency interactions, and escalations
  • Support payroll tax account reviews, registrations, transfers, and closures for mergers and acquisitions
  • Conduct payroll tax due diligence and identify compliance liabilities and risks
  • Provide process training and document standard operating procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 5 years of progressive payroll experience in a large, complex organization
  • Demonstrated experience with payroll tax compliance, reconciliations, filings, and issue resolution
  • Experience with large-scale payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, ADP SmartCompliance, Hilan, and Workday
  • Experience coordinating with external payroll and tax service providers
  • Experience administering complex garnishment programs, including child support, tax levies, creditor garnishments, and bankruptcy orders
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities

Nice to have

  • Experience with expatriate payroll tax reporting and cross-border compliance
  • Hebrew language skills and Israeli payroll experience
  • Experience in a public company with SOX-compliant payroll processes
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
