An insurance company is seeking a senior bookkeeper to manage financial settlements, payments, collections, reconciliations, controls, and reporting with reinsurers and brokers in Israel and abroad.
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial settlements, payments, and collections with reinsurers and brokers in Israel and abroad
- Perform accounting controls for settlement processes
- Record bank receipts and reconcile accounts
- Operate complex computerized processes and manage large, complex Excel files
- Prepare controls, analyses, and quarterly reports for financial closing and reporting
- Prepare regulatory reports and forms for the Ministry of Finance
- Advance technological process improvements and operational efficiency
Requirements
- At least a Type 2 bookkeeping certificate; Type 3 is an advantage
- At least five years of bookkeeping experience
- High-level English for correspondence and calls with international business partners
- Advanced Excel skills
- Technical orientation and ability to work with complex computerized processes
- Strong analytical, organizational, accuracy, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
Nice to have
- Type 3 bookkeeping certificate
- Experience with international business partners
- Experience in reinsurance or insurance
- Experience with SAP
- Experience preparing regulatory reports
