A company in Tel Aviv is seeking a Senior Accountant for a nine-month temporary, full-time hybrid position. The role supports accounting for Israeli entities, reporting, compliance, audits, and related projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end accounting close for Israeli entities
- Prepare balance sheet and profit-and-loss analysis
- Complete monthly balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
- Manage the fixed-assets subledger
- Prepare and review monthly accounts-payable accruals
- Generate and review general-ledger journal entries
- Maintain local accounting policies and desktop procedures
- Perform internal controls over accounting and accounts-payable processes
- Prepare statutory monthly reports, including tax advances and VAT
- Coordinate statutory audits and tax-return completion
- Support mergers and acquisitions activities
- Lead and support ad hoc accounting projects
Requirements
- Qualified accountant or CPA
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- At least 2 years of relevant post-internship experience
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, demanding environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice to have
- Experience in a global company
- Advanced SAP ECC or S/4HANA experience
- Experience with BlackLine and Ariba
