International smart transportation technology company seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a 50% part-time role in Tel Aviv. The position oversees day-to-day finance and accounting activities across entities in Israel, the UK, and the US, with potential to increase the scope in the future
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations across entities in Israel, the UK, and the US
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, reconciliations, and financial analyses
- Oversee external bookkeeping providers and the accuracy and timeliness of accounting records
- Manage intercompany transactions and group reconciliations
- Manage cash flow, payments, collections, and financial controls
- Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, payroll providers, banks, and other external providers
- Prepare Israel Innovation Authority reports, submissions, and grant-related documentation
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and budget-versus-actual analysis
- Ensure compliance with accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements across relevant jurisdictions
- Handle additional hands-on finance and accounting activities as needed
Requirements
- CPA qualification following completion of an internship
- At least 3 years of post-internship experience in an international high-tech company
- Hands-on experience in accounting, closing processes, financial reporting, and financial controls
- Experience overseeing external bookkeeping providers
- Strong Excel skills and experience with financial or accounting systems
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Independent, detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable in a dynamic environment
Nice to have
- Experience with Israel Innovation Authority reporting
- Experience managing multiple international entities, particularly in Israel, the UK, and the US
