Junior Real Estate Tax Preparer
Join a technology-enabled accounting and tax practice serving U.S. real estate sponsors, funds, and operating entities. Prepare partnership returns under senior review while developing technical expertise in real estate taxation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare federal and state partnership returns for real estate sponsors, funds, and operating entities
- Create workpapers for fixed assets, depreciation, capital accounts, state apportionment, and K-1 allocations
- Use tax software and AI copilots in daily work and identify improvement opportunities
- Address reviewer comments accurately and on time
- Collect and organize client data and flag unusual transactions or missing information
- Contribute ideas for process improvements
Requirements
- 1–2 years of public accounting experience, including strong internships
- Accounting degree or active progress toward one
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfort with new software and AI tools
- Clear written communication
- Interest in real estate taxation
Nice to have
- CPA or EA candidacy
- Experience with CCH
- Exposure to partnerships, depreciation, Section 1031 exchanges, or cost segregation
