Lead the accounting function for an international coffee division, overseeing global financial reporting, consolidation, governance, controls, and a professional accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the accounting function for the international coffee headquarters and oversee global financial reporting and consolidation.
- Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, public disclosures, and statutory reports.
- Lead professional collaboration with controllers and finance managers across global subsidiaries.
- Manage complex matters involving IFRS, international taxation, transfer pricing, transactions, acquisitions, and structural changes.
- Oversee internal control and SOX/ISOX processes, identify gaps, and lead improvement initiatives.
- Manage audits and maintain ongoing relationships with auditors, advisers, and professional stakeholders worldwide.
- Provide financial expertise to the coffee division’s leadership and support strategic decision-making and projects.
- Manage and develop the accounting team, build knowledge infrastructure, and implement high professional standards.
Requirements
- Certified Public Accountant license and a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- At least 7 years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial reporting, and consolidation.
- Significant experience with financial reporting for a global publicly traded company and deep knowledge of IFRS.
- Experience working with overseas subsidiaries in a global, matrixed environment.
- Significant management experience leading professional teams.
- Knowledge of international taxation, transfer pricing, and SOX/ISOX processes.
- Experience leading audits with Big Four accounting firms.
- Very high proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills, systemic and business perspective, attention to detail, and adaptability in complex environments.
