A rapidly growing technology startup is seeking a Controller to lead financial close, reporting, controls, and revenue recognition activities. The role suits a CPA with Big 4 experience and 2–3 years of post-Big 4 experience in a high-tech company or startup.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.
- Prepare, review, and maintain financial workpapers and controls.
- Ensure financial reporting complies with US GAAP.
- Oversee revenue recognition processes.
- Collaborate on financial forecasting, data analysis, and AI-enabled finance workflows.
Requirements
- CPA qualification required.
- Big 4 experience required.
- 2–3 years of post-Big 4 experience in a high-tech company or startup.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition.
- Very strong written and verbal English.
- Proficiency with AI tools, specifically Claude.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.
- High accountability, adaptability, self-management, and ability to work independently.
Nice to have
- SaaS experience.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude to streamline financial workflows.
