Join a financial technology company’s mobile engineering team to shape the architecture of a live payments platform. You will build production Kotlin Multiplatform applications, shared modules, secure payment capabilities, and platform-specific integrations across Android and iOS.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop production applications with Kotlin Multiplatform
- Own and evolve shared KMP architecture across the product
- Build reusable modules for business logic, networking, persistence, authentication, authorization, state management, synchronization, error handling, and observability
- Define boundaries between shared KMP code and platform-specific implementations
- Develop Android and other platform-specific integrations
- Implement authentication and payment authorization flows, including 3-D Secure approval
- Build card features using issuing-processor APIs, including activation, freezing, spend controls, Google Pay, and Apple Pay
- Create real-time experiences connected to cloud services and event-driven backend systems
- Apply mobile security practices including secure key storage, certificate pinning, and integrity checks
- Establish reusable KMP libraries and engineering patterns
- Debug complex production issues across shared and native code
- Collaborate with Backend, Product, QA, and DevOps teams
- Participate in architectural decisions and technical design
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional mobile development experience, primarily with Android
- Strong Kotlin skills, including Coroutines and Flow
- Production experience with Kotlin Multiplatform
- Strong understanding of modular architecture and shared versus platform-specific code
- Experience with REST APIs and local persistence such as SQLite or Room
- Experience building clean, testable architectures with meaningful tests
- Enough Swift to read, debug, and ship changes in an iOS codebase, or the willingness to learn quickly
- Ability to make pragmatic architectural decisions in a live product
- Working English
Nice to have
- Experience with banking, wallets, payments, or other regulated consumer applications
- Experience with card-issuing or issuer-processor APIs
- Experience with mobile CI/CD, signed builds, TestFlight, or Google Play internal tracks
