Develop and maintain mission-critical core banking systems, taking end-to-end ownership of batch workflows and nightly processing from business requirements through production deployment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and develop and maintain core banking systems
- Own batch workflows and nightly batch processing from requirements through production deployment
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on COBOL development experience
- Experience with JCL, DB2, ISPF or RDz, sequential files, SORT, and Mainframe or AS400 environments
- Experience supporting mission-critical core systems and critical-path nightly processing workflows
- Strong analytical skills and a system-level perspective
- Ability to work collaboratively and perform under pressure in a complex enterprise environment
Nice to have
- Experience with financial batch systems such as general ledger, accounting ledgers, financial transactions, amortization schedules, checks, credit cards, or MASAV files
- Experience with RDz, API development, EMVS, DPT, or AI tools such as GitHub Copilot
