A leading semiconductor and computing hardware company is seeking a Senior PCB Layout Engineer in Yokneam Illit, Israel. The role focuses on high-speed, high-density PCB design for computing, automotive, data center, and AI products.
Responsibilities
- Work with product design engineers to create high-speed and high-density PCB layouts.
- Develop complete CAD layouts, including symbol creation, floor planning, component placement, and constraint management.
- Apply topology and signal- and trace-integrity principles to PCB designs.
- Generate design-release deliverables, including artwork files, ODB++ files, and electronic PCB documentation.
- Ensure designs meet signal-integrity, EMI/RFI, FCC, UL, European regulatory, IPC, and NRC requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of high-speed design experience.
- Detailed knowledge of circuit design, PCB layout, routing, timing constraints, and volume-manufacturing requirements, including DFM, DFA, and DFT.
- Advanced proficiency with Cadence Allegro PCB design tools.
- Strong understanding of HDI PCB layout and PCB signal integrity.
- Knowledge of HDI, standard through-hole, and back-drilling manufacturing processes.
- Strong teamwork, ownership, communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt priorities as project needs evolve.
Nice to have
- Experience designing PCBs operating above 25 Gbps with back-drilling technology.
- Experience designing sophisticated multilayer HDI PCBs for dense placement and routing.
