Lead mechanical engineering for multidisciplinary product R&D, from concept and detailed design through prototyping, testing, documentation, and production transfer. The role is based in Haifa, Israel, and requires onsite work at least three days per week.
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design, including 3D models, drawings, prototyping, and production transfer
- Optimize designs for performance, serviceability, manufacturability, reliability, and cost
- Perform analysis, testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with system engineering, physics, electronics, software, project management, and other teams
- Identify mechanical risks and own mitigation plans and design reviews
- Resolve design, service, and production challenges with local and global teams
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5 years of mechanical design experience in multidisciplinary systems or products
- Professional experience with Creo, Pro/ENGINEER, or equivalent CAD systems
- Experience designing metal components and assemblies, including precision cast and machined parts
- Experience with tolerance analysis
- Ability to produce specifications, mechanical design documents, and test protocols
- Ability to independently drive technical decisions
- Fluent English
Nice to have
- M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience designing electronic components with heat-transfer considerations
- FEA experience with ANSYS Workbench Mechanical
- Medical industry experience
- Knowledge of IDEAS
