Lead electro-optical and radiometric development for missile guidance systems within an advanced defense and space engineering organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead electro-optical and radiometric workstreams in seeker-head development.
- Define electro-optical systems for missile seeker heads.
- Perform system analyses, develop physical models, and investigate performance.
- Plan and conduct laboratory experiments to validate seeker-head system performance.
- Collaborate with algorithm, systems, software, and test engineers.
Requirements
- More than 3 years of industrial experience as a physicist or electro-optical engineer.
- Extensive practical experience in an electro-optics or radiometry laboratory.
- Extensive practical experience in image processing using MATLAB or Python.
- Deep understanding of wave optics, Gaussian beams, radiometry, and blackbody radiation laws.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in physics, electro-optical engineering, or electrical and electronics engineering.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Nice to have
- Master’s or doctoral degree in physics, electro-optical engineering, or electrical and electronics engineering.
- Experience leading an engineering team.
- Experience with optical design software such as Zemax or Oslo.
