Lead the design, verification, simulation, and documentation of complex ASICs and integrated circuits. Own major projects, resolve advanced technical issues, and guide junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop integrated circuits and ASICs
- Oversee architecture definition, logic design, verification, and technical documentation
- Define module interfaces and simulation formats
- Evaluate design flows from high-level design through synthesis, place and route, timing, and power analysis
- Conduct experimental tests, analyze equipment and results, and support development decisions
- Lead major design and delivery projects and serve as an escalation point for complex issues
- Set work priorities and methods for new assignments in consultation with management
- Coach and mentor junior team members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of related experience, or a master’s degree and 6+ years, or a PhD and 3+ years
- Broad experience with ASIC development and integrated-circuit design
- Expertise in architecture, logic design, system simulation, synthesis, place and route, timing, and power analysis
- Experience defining module interfaces and simulation formats
- Strong analytical, technical leadership, and project management skills
Nice to have
- Postgraduate coursework or an advanced degree
- Experience evaluating vendor capabilities
- Strong project management experience
