Design and develop mechanical parts, assemblies, mechanisms, jigs, and fixtures for reliable industrial IoT devices. Own projects from initial concept through validation, production transfer, and lifecycle release while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Design mechanical parts and mechanisms for demanding environments from concept through production transfer
- Create and manage 3D CAD models and drawings for components, assemblies, jigs, and fixtures, including GD&T and release management
- Design plastic parts for injection molding and other conventional manufacturing methods
- Conduct prototype validation, including mechanical inspection, stress testing, sealing, field testing, and system validation support
- Apply analytical calculations and verification and validation methods
- Collaborate with mechanical, hardware, firmware, algorithm, V&V, sustain, manufacturing, and external subcontractor teams
- Transfer parts to production using product lifecycle methodologies
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors in Israel and internationally
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3–5 years of hands-on R&D mechanical engineering experience
- Experience designing machine parts, assemblies, and mechanisms
- Knowledge of machining, injection molding, compression molding, coatings, materials, and geometric tolerances
- Familiarity with new product introduction, design for manufacturing, design for excellence, and production transfer
- High proficiency with 3D CAD, including Onshape or SolidWorks
- Structured, analytical, data-driven engineering approach
- Ability to lead initiatives independently in changing and ambiguous environments
Nice to have
- Experience in an industrial environment
- Background in applied physics and linear time-invariant systems
- Experience with IoT systems and PCBA-integrated products
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
