Cable and Harness Engineer

An on-site, full-time engineering role supporting military cable and harness solutions for tactical ground and airborne communication systems. The role covers requirements, design, suppliers, manufacturing, installation, and field testing.
Responsibilities
- Define and draw military cable and harness items and their components
- Lead cable engineering solutions from requirements definition through field testing
- Review manufacturer catalogs and maintain communication with cable and component suppliers
- Coordinate subcontractors involved in cable drawings and manufacturing
- Provide engineering support to project, development, and production teams
- Answer technical questions from internal production departments
- Define cable manufacturing processes with production teams and subcontractors
- Support procurement, assembly, installation, inspections, and frequent engineering changes
Requirements
- Engineering degree or practical engineering diploma
- At least two years of engineering development experience with cables and harnesses
- Experience with military cabling
- Experience defining items and product structures
- Knowledge of DATA, POWER, and COAX cabling technologies
- Experience creating cable drawings and engineering documentation
- Experience defining cable assembly and routing processes
- Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 cabling standards
- Ability to collaborate with systems, development, and production engineers
- Strong teamwork, assertiveness, and service orientation

- Manufacturing plant experience
- Experience with fiber-optic cabling
- Experience working with the Israel Defense Forces
