Join a fintech team building and modernizing payment, acquiring, and financial systems used by businesses in Israel and Europe. This role is approximately 70% backend and 30% frontend, covering production applications, services, integrations, and modern engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend and frontend production applications.
- Design and develop microservices.
- Build services with PHP/Laravel and Go.
- Create and maintain integrations with internal systems, external APIs, and third-party services.
- Improve and refactor existing Laravel and PHP components.
- Help migrate existing services to newer technologies.
- Work with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
- Use AI tools in the development workflow.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-structured code.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software development experience.
- Strong experience with PHP and Laravel.
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
- Strong experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with REST APIs and system integrations.
- Experience working with production systems.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and modern development practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, payments, banking, acquiring, or other financial systems.
- Experience with payment providers, financial institutions, or international payment companies.
- Experience with high-volume transaction systems.
- Experience with Kafka or other event-driven technologies.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and AWS.
- Experience using AI development tools in day-to-day engineering work.
- Experience with Go.
