A digital intelligence company is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with an approximately 80% backend focus to build scalable, AI-powered product systems. The role combines backend architecture, frontend collaboration, product thinking, and AI-assisted development.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend services with NestJS, Node.js, TypeScript, and/or Python
- Own API design, contracts, versioning, authentication, authorization, and secure integrations
- Design data models and database schemas and optimize query performance
- Implement data-fetching layers, caching, queues, jobs, and event-driven processing
- Lead backend technical decisions, architecture, code quality, and engineering standards
- Improve scalability, fault tolerance, observability, monitoring, alerting, and system reliability
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and backend deployment practices
- Collaborate on React and TypeScript frontend applications and align API contracts, data structures, performance, and UX constraints
- Translate product requirements into robust technical solutions with product and design teams
- Conduct code reviews and lead architectural discussions
- Use AI coding tools critically in daily development and improve team workflows through AI tooling and automation
Requirements
- At least 5 years of full-stack or backend engineering experience, with a strong backend focus
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS; Python or an equivalent backend framework is also relevant
- Working proficiency with React, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend development
- Experience designing scalable backend architectures and data models
- Strong understanding of API design, authentication, distributed-system tradeoffs, performance, reliability, and security
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including query optimization
- Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing and observability tools
- Hands-on experience using AI development tools and validating, debugging, and improving generated code
- Understanding of prompt engineering for software development workflows
- Strong product judgment, communication, and collaboration skills

- Experience with data platforms, analytics products, or business intelligence tools
- Experience with large-scale data processing or query optimization
- Knowledge of streaming or real-time data patterns
- Experience integrating with LLM APIs
