Senior Full-stack Developer (Backend-Oriented)

Join an engineering team building customized training and simulation systems. Own cloud-based application features from requirements and architecture through deployment and production support, with a strong focus on backend development.
Responsibilities
- Own features through requirements, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Lead technical design for complex services, APIs, and integrations with attention to scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Develop and maintain cloud-ready .NET backend services, including REST APIs, background services, security, and data access layers.
- Design systems spanning services, databases, and internal and external integrations.
- Maintain frontend components and ensure clean, usable, and performant backend integration.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams.
- Improve code quality and engineering standards through reviews, mentoring, and technical guidance.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement durable fixes.
- Contribute to estimation, planning, technical decisions, and product roadmap discussions.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development experience, emphasizing backend development and full-stack work.
- Deep expertise in .NET and .NET Core, including REST APIs, background processing, authentication, authorization, and integration patterns.
- Strong backend architecture and system design skills, including SOLID principles, clean code, and modularization.
- Experience with modern frontend technologies, including component-based design, state management, routing, and API consumption.
- Experience developing and operating cloud-native applications.
- Strong experience with relational and non-relational databases, data modeling, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern development workflows.
- Excellent debugging, communication, and technical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership in a matrix organization.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Copilot.
- Experience working across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
