A medical AI startup is hiring a mid-level software engineer to build and maintain desktop applications, backend services, and data-layer components. The role is full-time, based in Israel’s northern district, with partial remote work available.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain WPF desktop applications and WebAPI backend services
- Use AI-assisted coding tools in the daily development workflow, including reviewing and validating generated code
- Own features from definition through implementation, testing, and release
- Work across desktop, backend, and data-layer components as needed
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and QA teams
- Participate in code reviews and root-cause analysis
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices
- Work within an Azure DevOps-based Scrum process
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software development experience with C#/.NET
- Hands-on experience building WPF desktop applications and WebAPI backend services
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL data-layer components
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams
- Understanding of software development lifecycles and version control
- Ability to direct, review, and validate AI-generated code critically
- Strong problem-solving, ownership, and cross-functional communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure DevOps Boards, Repos, and Pipelines
- Automation and scripting skills with PowerShell or Python
- Experience with Azure cloud services
- Familiarity with medical device or regulated software environments
