Join a remote software product team in Israel as a hands-on full-stack engineer. You will build and maintain backend services, frontend experiences, integrations, automation workflows, and AI capabilities for merchant-facing commerce software, with a path toward senior-level ownership.
Responsibilities
- Implement, test, deploy, and validate product features, bug fixes, technical improvements, database migrations, and AI capabilities.
- Build and maintain backend services and integrations with commerce, messaging, and third-party platforms.
- Work with queues, webhooks, background jobs, asynchronous workflows, and external APIs.
- Write production-ready code and contribute to code reviews and automated testing.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement durable fixes.
- Contribute to documentation, CI/CD, observability, testing, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with technical leadership and cross-functional stakeholders on requirements, technical approaches, risks, and delivery expectations.
- Progressively own larger platform areas and contribute to system reliability and technical design decisions.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of professional software development experience, ideally in backend or full-stack roles.
- Strong experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals, including clean, maintainable, secure, and testable code.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, webhooks, databases, and third-party integrations.
- Experience troubleshooting production issues using logs and observability tools.
- Clear, proactive communication in English.
- Ability to take ownership of work from problem definition through development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and post-release support.
Nice to have
- Experience with Shopify, e-commerce platforms, or messaging APIs.
- Working knowledge of AWS, MongoDB, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with WebSockets, real-time applications, Python/FastAPI, or AI-powered products.
- Startup or small-team experience with broad product and technical ownership.
