Join an R&D team building recommendation advertising formats and user experiences at massive scale. Own features from design through development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance across backend and client-side systems.
Responsibilities
- Build backend services and client-side features end to end
- Develop and maintain recommendation advertising formats, including carousel, app-install, and video ads
- Create high-scale backend services handling billions of daily requests
- Improve system performance, resilience, and observability
- Use large-scale data and performance metrics to guide technical and product decisions
- Build AI agents, skills, and workflows for code reviews, data analysis, anomaly investigation, feature validation, and debugging
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and UX teams on product design and implementation
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on full-stack programming experience
- Daily experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex
- Server-side development experience; Java or an equivalent object-oriented language is advantageous
- Working knowledge of vanilla JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
- Experience working with databases
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification
- Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment and learn independently
Nice to have
- Experience with high-scale or distributed backend systems, including message queues, caching, and concurrency
- Knowledge of HTTP, CDNs, DNS, server behavior, and advanced browser concepts
- Experience with cross-browser and multi-device support
- Experience building AI agents, custom skills, or automated workflows
- Familiarity with Web Components, Lighthouse, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes, BigQuery, MySQL, or Grafana
- Familiarity with Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, TDD, or Scrum
