Responsibilities
- Own the organization’s technology infrastructure, systems, and digital products
- Develop and maintain end-to-end web applications
- Manage the website, online store, ticketing, membership, payment, and point-of-sale systems
- Administer CRM, communications, and customer data systems
- Build integrations and automations between platforms
- Manage bugs, incidents, releases, backups, and access permissions
- Maintain information security, privacy, and business continuity
- Consolidate and improve data and build dashboards
- Plan and develop new products and internal tools
- Introduce AI tools and rapid development practices
- Guide the UI and UX of digital products
- Create work plans, priorities, schedules, and deadlines
- Manage vendors, freelancers, licenses, and technology costs
- Gradually take full technical ownership from an external provider
- Potentially build and lead a small technology team
Requirements
- Significant full-stack development experience
- Hands-on experience with WordPress and WooCommerce
- Practical experience with APIs, databases, integrations, and automation
- Experience with CRM systems; HubSpot experience is preferred
- Experience with commerce, payments, ticketing, email communications, or subscription systems
- Understanding of information security, privacy, backups, and business continuity
- Ability to organize and improve existing systems
- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
- Product thinking, understanding of UI and UX, and strong visual judgment
- Familiarity with AI tools and rapid development methods
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with non-technical teams
Nice to have
- Previous experience as a CTO, tech lead, or lead developer
- Experience bringing systems in-house from an external provider
- Experience building dashboards and information systems
- Experience leading products from concept through production
