Develop and integrate computer vision and embedded software for spine surgery medical devices, including surgical navigation, image registration, tracking, segmentation, and user interfaces. The role is based in Israel and requires approximately 10% travel.
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded and PC-based software for medical devices
- Research and develop computer vision and surgical navigation technologies
- Implement image registration, calibration, tracking, segmentation, and user interface capabilities
- Plan and execute software development activities against project milestones
- Create and maintain software design documentation
- Investigate and resolve software defects and user complaints
- Write unit tests and support integration testing
- Apply software engineering practices to maintain product quality
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Share technical knowledge and contribute to intellectual property development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- At least six years of software development experience delivering production software
- Strong proficiency in modern C++
- Experience with Android and Linux
- Experience developing embedded software
- Experience with performance-critical or real-time software
- Ability to work across optics, mechanics, electronics, and software disciplines
- Willingness to travel approximately 10%
Nice to have
- Graduate degree in engineering
- Experience with Qt and Qt Creator
- Experience in 2D or 3D computer vision and image processing
- Experience with Jira and Jenkins
- Eight years of software development experience
