Join an advanced networking hardware engineering team to develop, characterize, and validate embedded firmware and PHY algorithms for mixed-signal devices.
Responsibilities
- Implement firmware functionality in signal-processing units
- Define, implement, and maintain firmware algorithms controlling silicon
- Develop and test firmware in emulation and simulation environments during pre-silicon development
- Debug and triage hardware, firmware, and software issues
- Support silicon bring-up and software development
- Collaborate with architecture, hardware, software, algorithm, and circuit design teams
- Lead data-driven discussions on product functionality and improvement areas
Requirements
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in C programming
- Experience debugging and triaging complex embedded firmware issues
- Experience developing the physical layer of communication protocols
- Understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuit operation
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Python and MATLAB
- Understanding of SerDes operation
- Knowledge of hardware/software development processes
- Ability to guide and influence collaboratively
