Responsibilities
- Develop machine learning models and optimization algorithms for real-time dispatch
- Design online algorithms for decision-making across rides, drivers, and operational constraints
- Mathematically model competing system demands and create scalable formulations
- Analyze demand patterns, traffic dynamics, and fleet performance using statistical methods
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to deploy and improve algorithmic solutions
- Own work across research, prototyping, production deployment, and iteration
Requirements
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a closely related field
- At least 8 years of experience shipping machine learning models at production scale
- Deep practical expertise in machine learning, including reinforcement learning for complex, dynamic, or constrained systems
- Strong Python or similar programming skills
- Ability to translate ambiguous operational challenges into tractable machine learning formulations and measurable outcomes
- Strong applied research, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
