Develop computer vision algorithms for space technologies, combining classical methods with machine learning and deep learning. The role focuses on real-time performance, efficient use of memory and hardware, and support for multiple modalities.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and implement algorithms for pose estimation, segmentation, tracking, and 3D reconstruction.
- Combine classical computer vision techniques with machine learning and deep learning models.
- Define domain-specific KPIs and analyze algorithm performance against core domain features.
- Optimize algorithms for real-time operation, memory efficiency, hardware constraints, domain-gap minimization, and multimodal support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of computer vision, including SLAM, camera calibration, and stereo vision.
- Knowledge of imaging fundamentals, including shutter speed, aperture, and lighting.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow and training CNN or Transformer models.
- Strong proficiency in Python and C++.
Nice to have
- Experience with 3D pose and orientation representations, such as quaternions, rotation matrices, and axis-angle.
- Experience with Blender and synthetic rendering engines for visualization, simulation, or digital-twin work.
- A master's degree in a relevant field.
