Manage SQL Server databases and related Microsoft infrastructure, ensuring availability, performance, security, and reliable operations. Work with development and infrastructure teams, lead projects, and coordinate with senior stakeholders and customers.
Responsibilities
- Plan, install, upgrade, patch, and configure SQL Server databases.
- Manage backups, recovery, and database resilience.
- Test, tune, and monitor database performance.
- Write scripts and manage permissions and information security.
- Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams, lead projects, and advance processes.
- Build work plans and meet schedules; work with senior stakeholders and customers.
Requirements
- Six years of experience operating different SQL Server versions.
- Three years of experience installing infrastructure products in large enterprise environments.
- At least two years of experience installing, configuring, and managing SQL Server 2022.
- Five years of in-depth familiarity with Microsoft networks and servers.
- At least four years of experience with Microsoft infrastructure products, including Windows Server 2019, SSRS, SSIS, SSDT, Power BI, NTLM, Kerberos, SPN, Active Directory, Exchange Servers, POP3, and SMTP.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills, including resolving load and performance issues.
- Experience with firewalls.
- Relevant education or service in a technology-focused military unit.
