Join a personalized navigation team developing machine learning solutions for contextual, hyper-local routing experiences. Own models from research through production while partnering with product and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain machine learning models from ideation through production.
- Perform feature engineering, model evaluation, error analysis, model tuning, and monitoring.
- Build data processing pipelines and dashboards that support model development and product analysis.
- Define product requirements and success metrics with cross-functional partners.
- Lead experimentation and use behavioral data to generate product insights and identify complex issues.
- Apply cloud, machine learning, data orchestration, and analytics tools to production workflows.
- Partner with backend teams to integrate models, establish feedback loops, and help investigate user issues.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, physics, economics, operations research, engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- At least two years of experience using data engineering and machine learning to solve product or business problems, including coding, database querying, or statistical analysis; a PhD may substitute for this experience.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, software developers, and quality analysts.
Nice to have
- Three years of experience applying deep learning and classical machine learning to real-world problems at scale.
- Experience with TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or similar machine learning frameworks.
- Experience building and managing large-scale data processing pipelines for feature generation, dashboards, and analysis.
- Experience with cloud computing and machine learning operations.
- Strong critical thinking and ability to communicate complex findings clearly, including actionable recommendations.
