Lead multidisciplinary data teams and establish engineering standards in large-scale environments. Own the data technology roadmap, modernize data platforms and infrastructure, and partner with research and innovation teams on advanced data products.
Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary data team and establish engineering excellence
- Define and execute the data technology roadmap
- Transition data capabilities to modern platforms, including lakehouse or data warehouse architectures in AWS
- Lead data governance models
- Optimize highly available data ingestion and storage infrastructure
- Partner with research and innovation teams to develop data products using advanced analytics, machine learning, NLP, and large language models
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related field
- At least 3 years managing large technology teams or multiple data functions in large-scale environments
- At least 5 years of professional experience in data-related fields, including data engineering, data platforms, and business intelligence
- Strong hands-on SQL and Python skills
- Hands-on experience with AWS and modern data platforms, or equivalent cloud environments
- Experience with healthcare, clinical, or real-world data, and familiarity with data governance and privacy frameworks
Nice to have
- Master’s degree
- Familiarity with NLP, large language models, machine learning, and BI or analytics tools
