A successful company is seeking a hands-on information security professional to implement, operate, troubleshoot, and harden security systems and solutions. Responsibilities
- Implement, configure, operate, and maintain information security systems and solutions.
- Perform changes, configuration, and troubleshooting across security systems.
- Work with firewalls, WAF, EDR/XDR, SIEM, and additional protection solutions.
- Harden servers, endpoints, network components, and systems according to security requirements.
- Handle security vulnerabilities, analyze findings, and track remediation.
- Handle and investigate information security incidents in collaboration with IT and SOC teams.
- Provide hands-on support for technology projects and implement security controls.
- Implement and embed information security policies, procedures, and controls across organizational systems.
- Work with IT, networking, SOC teams, and external suppliers.
- Directly and professionally manage one information security and cybersecurity employee.
Requirements
- At least four years of hands-on experience in information security and cybersecurity.
- Practical experience configuring, operating, and troubleshooting information security systems.
- Experience with some of the following: firewalls, WAF, EDR/XDR, and SIEM.
- Good understanding of networking, protocols, operating systems, and IT infrastructure.
- Experience hardening systems and addressing security vulnerabilities.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to learn independently.
Nice to have
- Experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point, Cloudflare, F5, or comparable solutions.
- Experience in ISP or data center environments.
- Experience handling information security incidents.
- Familiarity with information security regulations, particularly ISO 27001.
