Lead enterprise network security architecture for a global organization. Define security standards, architecture direction, governance practices, and solutions while guiding technical teams and advising senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee network security architecture activities and solution architecture development for business and technology domains
- Define network security standards, architecture direction, logical designs, and security strategies
- Develop and evolve IT architecture governance methods, practices, and standards
- Apply architecture patterns and evaluate technical platforms for enterprise network security solutions
- Assess network infrastructure and identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses
- Evaluate and select security tools, technologies, and products
- Integrate security controls across network infrastructure in collaboration with IT teams
- Provide guidance to engineering teams on security implementation and issue resolution
- Monitor emerging threats, trends, and security practices
- Lead communication and education activities that promote enterprise architecture adoption
- Report network security status and risk information to senior management and stakeholders
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in network security, including at least 5 years in architecture and 5 years leading network security projects and teams
- Degree or comparable education and experience in a business or technical field
- Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise network security architectures and solutions
- Experience defining network security policies, standards, guidelines, and architecture patterns
- Deep knowledge of network security technologies and products, including SASE, micro-segmentation, NGFW, NAC, LAN/WAN security, and defense in depth
- Experience identifying and addressing network security vulnerabilities and managing strategic technical initiatives
- Experience communicating information risk and security topics to senior management and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience leading technical teams in global, multi-vendor environments
- Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, decision-making, and delivery skills
