Product Manager, Centralized Scheduling

Lead the product vision, strategy, implementation, and ongoing improvement of a centralized scheduling solution connecting citizens with health and social service appointments across a province. This term role is based in Halifax and runs through September 2028.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the product vision, strategy, roadmap, requirements, and prioritized backlog
- Lead implementation of the centralized scheduling solution with internal teams, partner organizations, and vendors
- Consult clinical, operational, citizen-facing, and service-provider stakeholders and report outcomes to senior leadership
- Monitor product performance and success metrics to inform roadmap decisions
- Lead user research and usability testing with citizens, care navigators, and health and social service providers
- Run product governance meetings and provide business analysis and policy recommendations
- Manage technical consultants and coordinate delivery across the project team
- Plan delivery, formulate budgets, allocate resources, and identify and mitigate risks
- Maintain stakeholder communications, status reporting, and decision records
- Lead process improvement and change management initiatives
- Manage relationships with receiving services, partners, and contracted providers
- Coordinate onboarding of health and social service organizations and validate scheduling data and workflow integrations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as engineering, data science, or health science
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in product or program management
- Experience leading diverse technical and product teams, including developers, consultants, data scientists, or engineers
- Strong communication, relationship-building, leadership, and stakeholder-influence skills
- Ability to navigate complex and ambiguous environments and translate data into objectives and deliverables
- Ability to work independently, develop concepts, and collaborate with government, industry, and community partners
Nice to have
- Master’s or PhD
- Relevant product or program management certification
- Knowledge of provincial health systems, digital health, virtual care, or health system navigation
- Experience with large-scale digital health technologies and technical architectures
