Radar Signal Processing Engineer

Join a multidisciplinary R&D team developing and optimizing radar algorithms for airspace defense systems. The role is hybrid, with one day per week working from home, and includes laboratory integration and outdoor field trials.

Responsabilidades

  • Design and implement algorithms for target detection, multi-target tracking, clutter rejection, Doppler processing, and false-alarm suppression.
  • Build mathematical simulations and performance models in MATLAB to validate accuracy, detection range, and resolution in challenging scenarios.
  • Optimize and deploy algorithms in C++ and Python to meet real-time execution and latency requirements.
  • Integrate algorithms with radar hardware in collaboration with embedded software, FPGA, hardware, and systems engineering teams.
  • Analyze live radar measurements during laboratory integration and field trials to refine and calibrate system performance.
  • Write algorithm design descriptions, architecture specifications, and verification reports.

Requisitos

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering, computer science, or an equivalent quantitative discipline.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on radar signal processing and algorithm development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of radar systems, RF waveforms, and signal processing methods such as FFT, CFAR, matched filtering, beamforming, and Kalman filtering or tracking.
  • Practical MATLAB skills for algorithm design, data analysis, and mathematical simulation.
  • Experience implementing algorithms in C++ and/or Python for real-time or production systems.
  • Experience analyzing experimental or live radar data and troubleshooting system issues.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in system integrations and outdoor field trials.
