A remote game studio is seeking a Community Manager to grow and retain its Patreon subscriber community, increase engagement, and drive subscription revenue for an international audience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts and ideas for recurring exclusive Patreon content, including copy, visual references, and publication formats
  • Brief studio staff on the production of Patreon content
  • Create and execute strategies for subscriber growth and retention
  • Organize cross-promotional activities with creators, authors, and other projects
  • Communicate with the audience and maintain strong engagement and a healthy community atmosphere
  • Analyze performance metrics and identify opportunities to increase subscription revenue

Requirements

  • Experience in community management, preferably with Patreon or comparable platforms such as Boosty or Substack
  • Strong English copywriting skills for persuasive, engaging, and accurate content
  • Figma proficiency for banners, post layouts, and visual content
  • Networking and partnership-development skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English for international audiences and partners
  • Ability to work autonomously, define tasks, build processes, and deliver results without close supervision
  • Strong focus on measurable subscriber and revenue growth

Nice to have

  • Proven case studies of launching or scaling Patreon projects
  • Established relationships with niche communities for cross-promotion
  • Understanding of indie or adult game development
