Seeking a Project Manager for aerospace projects, responsible for developing and implementing project management and controls processes, managing costs and schedules across large programs, and driving performance improvement. Role requires on-site presence in Wichita, KS, and collaboration with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and implement standardized project management and project controls processes
  • Configure processes within integrated project management systems and develop training materials
  • Apply project management and project controls best practices for effective cost and schedule management
  • Manage costs across large, multi-project programs
  • Develop program- and project-level reporting, including schedules and cost data charts for executive status reporting
  • Apply formal change management processes
  • Perform risk management and critical path analysis
  • Collaborate with client and contracted engineering, design, and construction professionals

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in project management
  • Experience developing and implementing processes with cross-functional teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with executive leadership and clients
  • Experience with project management and information management systems
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize data for strategic insights
  • Experience managing costs across large, multi-project programs
  • Experience developing program- and project-level reporting
  • Experience with formal change management processes
  • Strong analytical skills for performance improvement and optimization
  • Strong risk management and critical path analysis skills
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations
  • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Experience with Project Management and asset systems (e.g., Maximo, Procore)
  • Experience building Primavera and MS Project schedules
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and applications
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new project management systems
  • Ability to work well within a team including client members
  • Proven ability to adapt to evolving project requirements in a fast-paced environment
