Project Manager - Aerospace
Seeking a Project Manager for aerospace projects, responsible for developing and implementing project management and controls processes, managing costs and schedules across large programs, and driving performance improvement. Role requires on-site presence in Wichita, KS, and collaboration with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and implement standardized project management and project controls processes
- Configure processes within integrated project management systems and develop training materials
- Apply project management and project controls best practices for effective cost and schedule management
- Manage costs across large, multi-project programs
- Develop program- and project-level reporting, including schedules and cost data charts for executive status reporting
- Apply formal change management processes
- Perform risk management and critical path analysis
- Collaborate with client and contracted engineering, design, and construction professionals
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in project management
- Experience developing and implementing processes with cross-functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with executive leadership and clients
- Experience with project management and information management systems
- Ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize data for strategic insights
- Experience managing costs across large, multi-project programs
- Experience developing program- and project-level reporting
- Experience with formal change management processes
- Strong analytical skills for performance improvement and optimization
- Strong risk management and critical path analysis skills
- Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience with Project Management and asset systems (e.g., Maximo, Procore)
- Experience building Primavera and MS Project schedules
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and applications
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new project management systems
- Ability to work well within a team including client members
- Proven ability to adapt to evolving project requirements in a fast-paced environment
