Engineering organization developing advanced aerospace and defense systems is seeking an avionics systems engineer to lead system definition, architecture, integration, and testing.
Responsibilities
- Lead the definition, development, integration, and testing of avionics systems.
- Define system architecture, interfaces, and processes.
- Analyze, develop, and manage system requirements.
- Prepare system and subsystem requirements specifications.
- Define development tests and system integration activities.
- Participate in system integration, testing, and system-level trials.
- Coordinate engineering stakeholders and participate in engineering reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required; electronics engineering or systems engineering is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience as an avionics or multidisciplinary systems engineer on a multidisciplinary project.
- Systems engineering experience covering architecture, requirements, interfaces, integration, and testing.
- Strong systems perspective and interpersonal coordination skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with system integration or design verification testing.
- Additional experience in hardware or software development, or communications network planning and implementation.
- Experience with airborne systems.
- Background working with complex systems.
