A defense and aerospace manufacturer is seeking an Integration Test Technician for development and serial-production testing of inert aerospace and ground products involving hardware and software systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform testing and integration during product development and serial production.
- Plan, maintain, and support test systems at company and contractor sites.
- Conduct production-line testing and integration according to defined procedures, including work with hazardous materials and specialized environmental equipment.
- Plan, build, maintain, and calibrate test systems and standard production equipment.
- Receive and approve new test systems, write operating instructions, and train equipment operators.
- Write procedures, test instructions, and operating instructions for production test equipment.
- Support prototype testing, qualification, and performance verification.
- Lead technical investigation teams for production incidents and anomalies.
Requirements
- Technical education in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electronics, or a related technician discipline.
- At least five years of experience in electronics testing, system integration, and environmental testing.
- Experience operating, testing, and maintaining ground and airborne military systems.
- Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electronic boards and assemblies to component level.
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic wiring design.
- Experience defining test setups and writing work and operating instructions.
- Willingness to work nonstandard hours, shifts, Fridays, and under pressure.
- Strong self-learning ability.
Nice to have
- Experience defining and supporting production test equipment and fixtures.
- Experience creating electrical schematics with ORCAD.
- Experience operating Dit-Mco cable harness testers.
- Experience operating environmental test equipment such as ovens and vibration systems.
- IPC-610/620 certification.
