An engineering and development organization is seeking a Senior Aerospace Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, certification and upgrade of military aircraft and UAVs. The role involves cross-functional coordination and may require international travel.
Responsibilities
- Lead aero-mechanical systems engineering for military aircraft.
- Coordinate cross-functional development of new aircraft capabilities.
- Expand the flight envelope in accordance with military aircraft certification requirements.
- Lead aircraft conversions for new military missions.
- Design and validate composite structures.
- Own system-level integration across strength and loads, fatigue, installation design, electrical power, EMI, vibration, landing gear, hydraulics, flight controls and flight testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
- At least five years of experience in a relevant aerospace-mechanical discipline.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting flight lines during test flights or operational service.
